Hi! My name is Robyn Christina Cherinka. Welcome to RCC Proofreading! If you are looking for a detail-oriented proofreader who is willing to spend the time necessary to ensure that you have an accurate and complete transcript, then you have come to the right place.
To become a freelance proofreader, I completed the intense Transcript Proofreading: Theory and Practice course where I proofread over 3,000 pages of practice transcripts. I also completed Margie Wakeman Wells' Court Reporting: Bad Grammar/Good Punctuation book and workbook, and I utilize the Morson's English Guide for Court Reporters reference book.
I graduated from King's College with a BS in Computer Information Systems and worked for IBM as a computer programmer/systems analyst. After becoming a mom, I focused my time on raising my children and then started my own e-commerce business, which I have successfully operated for the last 10 years.
For the past 8 years, I have volunteered my spare time with the Junior League of Wilkes-Barre, an affiliate of the Association of Junior Leagues International. As a member of the board of directors, I served as the Vice President of Communications where I was responsible for writing press releases and producing a quarterly newsletter for the membership, as well as maintaining the website and social media accounts. I served as the assistant treasurer where I was responsible for collecting annual dues and overseeing the money received during our fundraising events. In 2015, I was elected President of the league where I oversaw the board of directors, ran all monthly meetings, and assisted with the volunteer and fundraising efforts of the league. Volunteering with the Junior League has provided me with the leadership skills necessary to manage working, taking care of my children, and serving my community.
